Assoc. Prof. Damodar Rokka is a Senior Radiographic Technologist and In-charge of the Department of Radiology & Medical Imaging Technology with extensive experience in clinical practice, academics, research, and professional leadership. He currently serves as Associate Professor and Program Coordinator of the M.Sc. in Medical Imaging Technology program at the National Academy of Medical Sciences and as Senior Radiographic Technologist at the National Trauma Center. He has played a significant role in advancing Medical Imaging Technology education, research, and service standards in Nepal. His areas of expertise include X-ray, Fluoroscopy, CT, MRI, DXA, Interventional Radiology, Cath Lab, Nuclear Medicine, Radiobiology, and Radiation Safety. He is actively involved in mentoring undergraduate and postgraduate students, curriculum development, academic research, and professional policy initiatives. Assoc. Prof. Rokka also serves as President of the Government Radiography Association, Nepal, Council Member of the International Society of Radiographers & Radiological Technologists, and Editor-in-Chief of the International Journal of Radiography and Radiation Sciences (IJRRS). He completed his M.Sc. in Medical Imaging Technology from the Institute of Medicine, Tribhuvan University and was awarded the Late Abhishek Bahadur Chand Gold Medal for academic excellence.
